“CB500-LT” SWITCHING BATTERY CHARGERS

The new CB522-LT switch-mode battery charger has been designed for the charge of 12V lithium batteries only. It is protected against overtemperature and the 12V outputs are protected against short circuit and polarity inversion
Charging process for 12V batteries:
- Bulk : battery charging with maximum current until the end-of-charge voltage is reached.
- Note: the end-of-charge voltage is reached only if the battery is efficient.
- Absorption : battery charging at constant end-of-charge voltage for a maximum time of 1h (or 30 minutes with I<5A).
- Float : Maintenance charging at a constant 13,5V voltage for a maximum time of 240 hours. If a high load lowers the battery voltage under 12,7V, the Bulk phase starts again.
- Refresh : The battery is charged at 14,5V for a maximum time of 30 minutes (or until I<5A). Once completed, the charging starts again from the Float phase.
The high frequency switching technology allows high performances with small dimensions and limited weight.
